Our Bowie-bird is three months old as of yesterday (well… two days ago since I haven’t figured out how to make this blog publish in our time zone)! Holy goodness. Let’s see, what’s new this month…
- Bowie smiles with her mouth wide open for mornings, kisses, and her own beautiful reflection in the mirror.
- She’s now almost double her birth weight!
- She’s started pushing piano keys down! She played her very first note on November 3rd. After playing/singing Harvey Danger’s “Little Round Mirrors” with her on my lap, I sat her up closer to the piano. She put her left hand out and played the B below middle C. We play a song or two together just about every day, and each time she plays a note I show her a scale and chord built from it.
- She is starting to laugh! While we’ve caught some mid-sleep giggles, Lola (Grandma Lita) got Bowie’s first awake laugh playing peek-a-boo while getting her out of her day clothes and into some pajamas.
